National Bible Bowl (“Bible Bowl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Florida nonprofit organization. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bible Bowl websites — the websites we operate on the biblebowl.org domain, including our public site and our account and registration system (together, the “Sites”).
By using the Sites, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites. Some programs, events, or features may have their own additional rules; where those conflict with these Terms, the specific rules control for that feature.
Bible Bowl is a quick-recall Bible study competition for students in grades 3–12. The Sites provide information about the program and let groups and families register for and manage their participation. Content on the Sites is provided for informational and educational purposes, and we do not warrant that it is always accurate or complete.
Some features require an account, which you create and sign in to through the Bible Bowl websites. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Please provide accurate information, keep one account in your own name, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You may close your account at any time by contacting the office.
Adults — parents, guardians, or group sponsors and leaders — register participants, including minors, and are responsible for the information they submit and for supervising the participants they enroll. Sponsors and leaders who register a minor confirm they have the permission of the minor’s parent or guardian to do so.
Registration fees are paid online through our third-party payment processor. Donations may be made by check or through the online option on our Donate page. If you have a question about a payment or refund, please contact the office.
When you use the Sites, you agree not to:
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion. You are responsible for your interactions with other users, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any user.
If the Sites let you submit content — for example, through forms or postings — you keep ownership of it, but you grant Bible Bowl a perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content to operate and promote the program. Only submit content you have the right to share, and do not submit anything unlawful or infringing. We are not obligated to monitor or store submitted content and may remove it at any time.
Except for content you submit, the Sites and their content — including text, graphics, logos, software, and their organization and layout — belong to Bible Bowl or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and print pages for personal, noncommercial, or educational use, but you may not otherwise copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our permission. “Bible Bowl” and our logo are marks of Bible Bowl; other marks belong to their respective owners.
If you believe content on the Sites infringes your copyright, please send a notice to our designated agent that includes:
To reach our designated agent or submit a notice, please contact the office. We remove infringing material and may terminate accounts connected to repeat infringement.
The Sites link to and work with third-party sites and services — for example, our online store, social media, and our payment processor. We do not control those services and are not responsible for them. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
THE SITES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT THE CONTENT IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. YOU USE THE SITES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIBLE BOWL AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bible Bowl and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, losses, and expenses — including reasonable attorneys’ fees — arising from your use of the Sites, the content you submit, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
We may suspend or end your access to the Sites at any time, with or without notice, including for violating these Terms. The sections on content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity survive termination.
We operate the Sites from the United States and intend them for users in the United States. If you access the Sites from elsewhere, you are responsible for complying with your local laws, and you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States.
How we collect and use your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “last updated” date above will change. If you continue to use the Sites after we post changes, you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Sites will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Bible Bowl regarding the Sites. If you need to reach us for any reason, please contact the office.
